8.2 Perform Quality Assurance

Process Definition
Perform quality assurance is the process of evaluating the projects quality requirements are being achieved. These results can come from quality control measures. The purpose of the audit is to determine if the quality measures and standards are not only being adhered to but are sufficient enough to meet project requirements.

Process Assessment
This process involves all activities related to ensuring the quality requirements defined in the planning process are being implemented and are working according to plan. This can be executed by a designated quality assurance team in support of the project team. One of the most valuable effects of performing quality assurance is the continuous process improvement that is generated.

This document describes how the organizations quality procedures and policies will be implemented. The example is an excerpt from a group project in PGMT 611 Anatomy of Project Organizations, that was written by Jeremy Curbey, Domingot Tuckler, and Reese Darlington.

The seven basic quality tools are used to solve quality related issues that could arise. This example is from a 7QC paper I wrote in PMGT 614 Planning, Directing, and Controlling Projects.

(Outputs) Change Request
Change requests are a formal document or procedure to ask for the alteration of a project document. This example is from an assignment in PMGT 614 Planning, Directing, and Controlling Projects.
