Critical Thinking Paper

Critical thinking skills are an important part of being a project management professional. Being able to conceptualize, apply, analyze, and evaluate our peers work will allow us to not only better ourselves but the project management profession.
Abstract

This paper provides a critical analysis of a scholarly journal, What Project Strategy Really Is: The Fundamental Building Block in Strategic Project Management, written by Peerasit Patanakul and Aaron J. Shenhar. An introduction to the lead up of their research will be discussed, as well as how they decided to formulate their project strategy framework. The authors empirical research and results, based on the three ongoing projects that they used as their test subjects, is analyzed. The paper culminates in my recommendations for possible implementation of a formal project strategy framework and document as well as the need for further research in the subject area.
