Process Definition
Validate scope is the process of determining that each deliverable, as it is completed, meets the intended result or outcome based on the project management plan. It is the validation of each deliverable.

Process Assessment
In this process the project manager discusses the final outcome of each deliverable, obtained from the quality control process, with the customer or sponsor. This allows the determination if each deliverable meets project requirements based on the customer's/sponor's needs.
(Inputs) Requirements Documentation
The requirements document breaks down each requirement needed for project completion. This example is from a group project in PMGT 501 Fundamentals of Project Management, written by Jeremy Curbey, Jay Kinser, and Charles Sutherland.
(Tools & Techniques) Inspection
Inspection is the activity of examining if work that has been doen meets project requirements. The
attached document discusses a methodical approach to reviewing the WBS and scope statement. This example is from a group project in PGMT 612 Leading Projects Across Cultural, Corporate, and International Boundaries, that was written by Jeremy Curbey, Khoi ChuChe, Corey Cowley, Reese Darlington, and Domingo Tuckler.
(Outputs) Work Performance Information
Work performance information is a good output for validating scope and will provide the project manager a good foundation for making project control decisions. This example is from an assignment from PMGT 502 Effective Communications for Managing Projects and a forecast from a Case Study I completed in MGMT 524 Management Science.
