12.3 Control Procurements
Process Definition
Controlling procurements is the process of maintaining professional relationships and dialog with vendors as well as evaluating contract performance. This will allow for performance standards to be met, contracts to be honored and changes to be made as required.

Process Assessment
While contractual agreements are legally binding, it is still important to maintain good working relationships with the vendors. It is to the benefit of both parties to keep a good open dialog when controlling procurement contracts. There is also a financial responsibility of this process to ensure payments are being processed in accordance with contractual agreements.
