Process Definition

Process Assessment
There are a wide range of communication technology and methods such as meetings, presentations, one-on-one conversations, e-mail, teleconferencing, video conferencing, etc. It is important to choose an appropriate technology and method for the target stakeholders and the information that is being communicated. The main outcome is to have updated project information, such as: stakeholder notifications, project reports, project presentations, and project records. Other helpful information for the current and future projects are issue log and lessons learned.

The communications management plan is the governing document that lays out how everything will be communicated throughout the project life-cycle. This is an example taken from a project completed in PGMT 502 Effective Communications for Managing Projects, that was written by Jeremy Curbey, Reese Darlington, and Amanda Evans.

(Tools & Techniques) Communication Technology
Communication technology is the medium used to transmit project information to your project team and stakeholders. This example discusses using a reporting schedule. The example is an excerpt from a group project in PGMT 612 Leading Projects Across Cultural, Corporate, and International Boundaries, that was written by Jeremy Curbey, Khoi ChuChe, Corey Cowley, Reese Darlington, and Domingo Tuckler.

Project communications involves the actual communication efforts throughout the project life-cycle. This is an example is part of the communication management plan that is taken from a project completed in PGMT 502 Effective Communications for Managing Projects, that was written by Jeremy Curbey, Reese Darlington, and Amanda Evans.
