13.3 Manage Stakeholder Engagement

Process Definition
Manage stakeholder engagement is the process of maintaining a working relationship with the stakeholders. The main purpose of this process is to allow stakeholders to be more engaged in the project.  This increases support and successful outcome to the project.

Process Assessment
Project manager needs to find different tools and methods to keep the stakeholders actively involved in the project. The high-level of involvement of the stakeholders in the project’s activities is significantly important in the project’s success. This should lead to an increase in stakeholder support and a reduction in resistance. 

Stakeholder management plans is the project teams go to document when needing to know how to interact with a stakeholder. It provides all the vital data for effectively managing each key stakeholder.

Communication methods include they ways the medium of how information will be communicated. A good example of this is a communication matrix.
